    Xbox live account stolen?


    I was going to play Forza Horizon 5 today where it seems my Microsoft account was locked. I had done the steps to verify my account and I have gained back access to it, but when I logged into Xbox live, I was in a completely fresh account under a different name (StoneDawn403225) instead of my actual Xbox account (Gav2806).

    I have not shared any of my personal details to anyone at all, and everything was just fine yesterday. I tried looking to regain my original Xbox live account, but to no avail.

    Can anyone please help with this?

    I have not read anything reliable to indicate account information was stolen from Xbox Live. Those stolen accounts from Lulzsec have nothing to do with Live.

    Here's an idea -- maybe you're not the only user on Xbox LIVE. Maybe you're not even the only one whose account has been stolen. Maybe, in fact, a lot of people have had their accounts stolen. And maybe, just maybe, working through all those cases is really
    hard and time-consuming. Just as an identify theft case (which this essentially is) cannot be worked through overnight, so too can hundreds of stolen Xbox LIVE accounts not be returned in a timely manner.

    Xbox live was not hacked. It is just that some people use the same email address and password for different websites. That is how the xbox live accounts are being stolen.
