xbox live account set up for under 18

Can some one please direct me to the Xbox live setup instructions for children? I am either a complete idiot or this does not exist. I've seen plenty of threads on xbox family, and reasons why microsoft charges for a child's account, but the setup instructions
is nil.

Family Account

The only way to set up a child account is to register it as such (under 18+ of age) and set up as parental account that of an adult.

How do i change my online account settings to adult

Hello, when someone set this account up for you they put your date of birth under the age of 18. Once you do that your account entered into the XBOX Live system as a "child" as any account under the age of 18 is automatically a "child" - If your account
is over the age of 18 please visit ->
support.microsoft.com/.../945418. That will teach you how to promote the account from child to an adult and get rid of the restriction. If you are not over the age of 18 then you cannot download the content on the account. If this was done by mistake then
unfortunately there is still no way to get the content until you hit the age of 18 on that account unless you were to make a new XBOX Live account. Hope that helps.

One of my friends had this problem He said that the solution was that he was linked under a family account and that he had limited Xbox live for privacy settings. Also if the person that uses the account is under 18, you automatically have limited Xbox
live setting you just need to change it yourself (Or ask a parent)

If you have set up the account under 18+ of age you have to change the privacy settings through the parental account.
