    Xbox live account "not allowed on Xbox Live"


    I have not played Xbox in years, and i just went to play it recently with the release of WW2. So i update, log in, and purchase a month of live through the Xbox. All seems fine. But when i went to play live it took me immediately
    to a the Xbox live purchase page as if i didn't have live. when I declined to buy live on this page (as I had already bought it) it gave me the "this account is not allowed on Xbox live" error. I thought maybe someone had used my account and gotten me banned,
    but my Microsoft account still has a flawless online record, AND it says that I am subscribed to Xbox live gold, which means that it wasn't just waiting to authenticate my purchase. Any assistance getting my account on live servers would be appreciated.

    Beginner/Nub questions about Xbox Live...

    1. What happens to a Gamertag that allows its Xbox Live subscription to run out, more specifically with regards to the name's availability to other users? (Like, is there a "grace period" where no one can use the name, to give the person time to get back on Xbox Live with that account?)
    2. Is there some kind of rebate for a second Xbox Live account belonging to the same person / credit card?
    3. If going that route (2 Xbox Live accounts on the same console), will there be anything associating the two in the eyes of the public?

    Sometimes with the xbox one system memory after making a purchase of live thinks you still do not have gold so normally doing a power cycle of the console ( hold down the power button on front of console for 10 seconds for it to shut off then unplug for
    a minute, plug back in and turn back on and sign in and see if you can start a party or join Multiplayer game) that normally clears up the memory and when you sign back in it should recognize your gold.

    You are not allowed to sell your Xbox Live account. It would be best to simply make a new Xbox Live account and avoid account selling/trading and to not cheat for gamerscore.

    Unfortunately it looks like something did go wrong. The 30 day trial will show you as being a gold member on the forums and you're not showing as gold. There have been issues with people getting gold subscriptions the past few days so that could have something
    to do with it.
