Xbox live account hacked and unable to recover

Hi all,

My friend from HongKong's email had been hacked 2 weeks ago and that email address was used to login xboxlive, now he cant play all his digital games due to unable to login. We are 5 players team up for long term from Malaysia, Singapore and Hongkong to
play Gow4 and Ghost recon wildland for cheevo, now we all stop play due to team member encounter issue.

As he mentioned he already contact Microsoft HongKong and proof he is the real person to own the xbox id, Microsoft support know about it but look like support was unable to solve the problem and it had passed 2 weeks already.

My concern is how Microsoft protect their xboxlive member in this case, in future you or me may face this problem too and we will loss every digital content we bought because Microsoft is ignore this kind of issue.

THanks for your great help, to clarify that is my friend account problem not me, I just wonder if this happen to anyone and if we cant resolve it asap what can we do? Play PS4 lol. My friend now unable to play all his digital game, even create a new GT
also need to buy again if he want, that is not correct...

Thanks for reply, as I mentioned, it is my xboxlive friend not me, I just curious that it had been 2 weeks that this still cant be solve, as a cheevo hunter it is very sad to stop playing xbox. My friend's email which being hacked is yahoo email as backup
email and back track to xboxlive main email being hack too.The yahoo service support said not their problem, so it look complicated for him to deal with MS, need more evident and identity proof...

I am really sorry to hear that and I can perfectly understand your point.

It is too late now, but as a general rule always use complex passwords and change them from time to time.

Anyway, I would try to contact again the support service.

If they are being hacked have them contact the email source teams for example yahoo. Then contact the yahoo support team to get your account back. I had the same problem before
