Xbox live account gift card balance glitch. NEED HELP FIXING!

So this has never happened to me until now and basically i bought 2 movies on my xbox one. I had 29 dollars on my account, i bought the first movie which was 12$ plus tax, so obviously now i shouldn't have 29$ anymore. But when i went to go and buy the
second movie i noticed in my gift card balance it said i still had 29$ I bought the second movie anyways though, assuming it was just a glitch that will fix it's self. But it didn't! I have no idea why this happened but can i fix it? Will it fix eventually?
I turned my xbox off and it still said i had 29 dollars, i signed out, and it still says this, even now as i'm writing my account still says i have 29 dollars, when i should have 3 dollars. But i tested it out to see if i have like an unlimited amount of money
or something, so i tried to buy a random movie, that was 20 dollars plus tax, but it said i had a insufficient balance, so i don't have an unlimited amount of money, which kind of sucks tbh lol. But at this point i just want my account to show how much money
i really have in my gift card balance, which should be 3 dollars, not exactly 3 dollars. But around 3 dollars.

I would try to close the store and or restart your Xbox. Maybe it is just an issue that is fixed by restarting or even power cylcle the console. To do the power cycle hold the power button for 10 seconds. than unplug the power cord for at least a minute.
after that put the power cord back in and restart your Xbox. Hope that helps to fix the issue. Your account seems to work right, becaus you can´t by stuff that would be priced with the false shown ammount of balance on your display.

I'm afraid that subscriptions can't be paid via Account balance (Microsoft Gift cards) you will either need to use a payment option (like a credit card) or a prepaid card for Xbox Live or Xbox Game pass.

You can't buy a gift card with funds in your Microsoft account balance. That would be essentially buying a gift card with a gift card. You would need to buy a game or other content in the store and use your account balance as the payment method.
