XBOX Live Account created and defaulted to Profile name 'GorySnow7861595'

Created my Microsoft account yesterday, but could not proceed to enter the redemption code for XBOX Live Gold. I am trying again today and when I log into my account, it shows my gamertag/profile name as 'GorySnow7861595'. Is this a security issue? Should
I simply change the profile name/gamer tag, or close this account and open a new one?

First name change, being charged $10.

well since she already used her first name change she doesn't get another

Terrific harpy isn't a randomly generated name

It is only for accounts created after 2013

Randomly generated names are emotion plus cute pet and an random number

Having an new xbox doesn't give her a second chances

Only new accounts created after 2013 get the free name change

Before 2013 you were given a choice for your names

After that you had a defaulted name after which you could change your name that's where the first name change comes from

I just did this today with my offline partners profile which was on my own Gold account (360 )

You need to use a 24hr, 2 day, 7day pass and create an xbox live account for each of them, then port them across

Your default GamerTag has no correlation to you Microsoft account.

It has simply generated something based on some keywords. simply change your tag name and proceed.

Was the MAJjespersen profile name used for an offline account before it was made into an Xbox Live profile? If you converted a console only / offline account into an Xbox Live account, it would have been given a generic gamertag by default. These default
gamertags tend to be two random words and a number and are assigned because every online account must be assigned a different profile name / gamertag for identification purposes. It's all too common for people to want to use the same name.

I cannot say whether another person has used the MAJjespersen name for another Microsoft account (not necessarily for Xbox), but it is possible; it could have spaces or other capitalization in it and the system would not see a difference between it and the
one you wanted. You may have even used it for her for some other Microsoft service in the past while attached to a different e-mail than the one used to create the Xbox Live account, but obviously I don't know; I'm just mentioning possibilities.

Hi Cheryl. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

By default, a Microsoft account does not have an Xbox profile. However, if you ever visit an Xbox page while signed into your account, you'll be prompted to create a profile and be given a username (Gamertag) generated by Microsoft.

Once an Xbox profile is created, it cannot be deleted or disconnected from your Microsoft account.

Only applies to profiles with randomly generated names also only within 30 days of creating an new xbox live account not preexisting accounts

if your gamertag on xbox live is my emotions then recover the account

if you mean your profile name on your console then you will have to promote3 that account to live account

if it says it is taken you will have to create a nother name
