    hi all.

    hope somebody can be of assistance.

    we bought Xbox live gold for my 8 yr old son and set up an account On his 360. It required a parent to set up an account, so I duly did.

    it sort of worked, with him logging in no problems. However, my account was Xbox live and my sons was the gold account, therefore we were unable to download the free games. We tried to rectify this via live chat 2 days ago, with no success.

    today, he can't sign in at all. However I can so it isn't a connection issue. Again, I have wasted half the evening on live chat, twice being abruptly cut off. I can't verify his account as I am in the UK, and it asks for a U.S. credit card address. My settings
    on my account are for the UK.

    I have followed the links to change his password with no success. I am getting to my wits end, going round in circles with live chat asking me to repeat everything I have already attempted and then being confused when it doesn't work.

    a bit of googling suggests I am not alone with this issue, but no one suggests how to resolve it.

    any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. How do I verify his account? How do we download free games on a child gold account?

    So your account is not banned, but I'm guessing you can't sign in? Is it asking you to verify proofs? Can you sign into account.live.com? Forums are not live chat, add more details and people can actually help you.

    Can't access my account

    hi can't access my account haven't been able to for well over a week. No one from online chat support can help me.

    I've verified and updated all my account info. I cleared all cache data and deleted the old profiles and I still can't redownload my profile!

    I'm paying for live and I can't using it keep getting passed around getting really fed up now

    Try calling xbox support for the uk they maybe be able to help better since you are in uk. unforulay i dont have that

    number to call the uk xbox support, but i do have xbox support 1800 4my xbox can probably help you better in this area.

    So your account is not banned, but I'm guessing you can't sign in? Is it asking you to verify proofs? Can you sign into account.live.com? Forums are not live chat, add more details and people can actually help you.

    it could be your account, but as I'm not a Microsoft employee I can't verify anything, just ask you to check, if you want to check your account only support can help with the online chat option on the live status page.

    Pure Imcompetence From a Company Like Microsoft

    Just because you can't sign in on XBox doesn't mean the suspension came from something that happened on XBox. If that account was used anywhere on any Microsoft application or platform to engage in harassment or otherwise bad behavior, you'll get an error message indicating you cannot sign in using that account. In the case you stated above, you tried to use that account on XBox or XBox Live; that's why it says you can't log on to XBox or XBox Live.
