    Hello, this is adam lindsey. My gamertag is . I want to know why i have received a ban on my xbox live account without the ability to defend myself? I know the reason is because i used inappropriate language in a comment. That was the only way,
    i felt, to get the point across to the guy who kept harassing me. He first told me to fix my internet, to which i replied it might be his. He then stated that my character was teleporting all over the place, which i have experienced that from other players
    so i know it is annoying. I replied with a laughing emoji and he said its gonna be funnier when i am banned. So i finally told him to f off and stop harassing me because thats the first time this has happened. Why cant people just mind their own business.
    I would never harass someone for something so stupid. much less ban them. Ridiculous...

    as you logged in from steam with the banned account it will now associate that steam account as banned too. you cannot avoid an xbox live ban by logging into an xbox live game via steam with a different account now.

    so if you managed to unlink the microsoft account and signed in with another then xbox live will know which steam account it is and will not let you on.

    Here is the link describing Xbox LIVE suspensions and console bans. If you did something described on the page or people filed a complaint saying you did such action that is why your account was banned. The ban will be lifted whenever the ban should be lifted.

    If your Xbox Live account has been permanently banned from Xbox Live the ban carries over to the Xbox One. You will need to create a new account should you wish to play on Xbox Live again.

    If your account is banned then it's banned from xbox live,not just the xbox 360.

    You wont be able to use it on any xbox live services.
