Xbox Live Account Balance

Hello Xbox Live Team,

Just curious if it's possible to transfer Microsoft Points from previous account to new account, i created the Xbox Live account a long time ago, when i first bought my Xbox 360. I created my account myself and didn't realise that i've placed parental
controls on and being stupid at that age, i didn't know what it meant by it. So i placed my mothers email address but not being bright at spelling i placed and miss-spelled the wrong email address and unable to access that email address that probably doesn't
even exist.

Should i contact Xbox Support about the issue? I'd appreciate a direct link towards the correct support, thanks guys!

Mini-Survey: How do you purchase your digital content on Xbox Live?

A mix of Credit Card and online gift cards. The Xbox Live marketplace is weird for me, it charges me tax when using a credit card directly, but doesn't charge me any tax when using my Microsoft account balance. So usually what I tend to do is always makes sure I have something in my account balance so when I use my credit card, it only subtracts what was left over after taking from the account, and this never includes tax.

Sorry but items cannot be transferred from one account to another.

However, you can certainly contact support to see if they can help you out with your email issue.

Sorry, my mistake... that should have said 'removed' and not moved.

Any balance will remain on the Original Microsoft Account. So for example if you have a balance of 15 on Microsoft Account A that is connected to Xbox Live account 1, and you move Xbox Live Account 1 to a different Microsoft Account (B).

The balance will remain on Microsoft Account A, all purchases, xbox live subscription and gamerscore etc, those will move with xbox live account 1 to the different Microsoft Account (B).

You cannot use your Microsoft Account balance to purchase Xbox LIVE Gold. That balance can only be used on Xbox LIVE Game store transactions.

Yes. You're balance is tired to your Microsoft account, not to Xbox live. You can use your balance for the marketplace or for windows store.

Hey there,

Xbox Live Gold memberships cannot be purchased with Microsoft Account balance, but with a credit card on file instead. Microsoft Account balance can be used on purchases within the Xbox Store.

You will have to pay the past due balance to get your account in a zero balance. Then you should be able to buy just Xbox Live after your account is at 0. This should only pay for the past due balance and not resubscribe you to UGP. After paying the past
due balance, and buying Xbox Live go to your MS Account page under Services & Subscriptions then turn off recurring billing to avoid anymore issues with this.
