Xbox LIVE 360 Still Down?

Notice how the xbone live is fixed but the LIVE for 360 still has issues? Get used to it.......typical move from microsuck. Remember the BC on the 360....promised 100% BC but less that 1/2 through they stopped and closed the department. The xbone is out
now and the price is "promotionally" reduced again. The xbone issues have been fixed and the ones on the 360 are still at critical stage. I can't even log-in to my gamertag on the console. Their focus is CLEARLY on the xbone and nothing else. Their hopes are
for the consumer the drop the 360 and buy the xbone. This is clearly microsofts forecasted future. This with it's 0% BC will drive the consumer to eventually buy the same games again (marketplace) that we already own to "enjoy" on the xbone. I am guessing
this is the first (if not further up) step for their eventual 100% drop on support for the 360. Paranoid? NO. Conspiracy? No Bitter facts? YES. Just look at history.

Been playing my 360 all weekend. Xbox Live is still going strong there.

Xbox live stills works for Xbox 360 as it always did. Support hasn't been altered, yet.

 

Apart from a cloud storage issue with Minecraft saves xbox live is up and running.

100% backwards compatibility was never promised on the 360 so not sure where you got that from.

 

I've YET to have any trouble signing on. Granted, I wasn't on Live on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, but still, no problems at all.

 

Microsoft did indeed PROMISE 100% backwards compatibility on the 360. The even said something to the fact that "you don't need 2 consoles" alluding to getting rid of your original xbox since you no longer needed it. If you were part of that transition daft
you would know there was a uproar of those who got rid of their original XB because of this promise. Time passes and people forget. I think if you do a search on youtube you may find a video of this promise because microsuck took all the official announcements
down after renigging on this promise. Do a little google searching before replying on your personal experiences as there are many who are still having issues on the 360 and it has nothing to do with minecraft, which BTW was the exact excuse XB support on twitter
gave me when I contacted them there. They claimed it was limited to minecraft but my greivence had NOTHING to do with minecraft. If you have no issues with LIVE consider yourselves lucky. I on the other hand have had issues since DEC and they have nothing
to do with minecraft.

 

I've been an xbox owner since 2002 so I was in that transition & not once was it said that the 360 would be 100% bc & I certainly don't remember this "uproar" you mention.

There was the usual moaning by some people but that's normal.

If there was a wide spread issue with xbox live then i'm sure the support forums would be flooded with people asking what to do.They aren't.

Sounds like the issue is at your end,as we've said,xbox live is up & running at the moment

 

I don`t play online, but not once have i ever had an issue signing in on my 360.

A 100% guarantee is that support will be stopped for the 360 over the coming years, so yes you will have to move on.

 

No problems here with XBL either.

I do how ever have problems with a big block of text. So much easier to read when folk use paragraphs.

 

I have no problems with XBL either, in fact, it's been really good all of this month for me, so what ever is happening is on your end or possibly even your ISP.

The only issue I've come across is I can't seem to connect to a live party nor can I join a friend's game and vice versa. It's been going on for days.

Other than that, xbl has been fine.

 

I have problems EVERYDAY signing onto XBL to play Destiny (and sometimes Netflix). I get booted CONSTANTLY from XBL. I've reset my modem, my Xbox, called my ISP, you name it. So, YES, there ARE still problems with it. Just because it doesn't effect you personally,
doesn't mean it isn't affecting LOTS of other people. Go to the Destiny page on FB- people that play on 360 are always booted from XBL...

1)Try clearing your system cache and delete your profile and then redownload it.

2) If that doesn't work try checking your storage for any corrupt data. Sometimes corrupt avatar or game data can keep kicking you offline.

3) I know you said you've restarted your modem and what not, however, if your internet connection is on the lower end (<10mbps) it could be that you're experiencing networking hiccups where it kicks you off briefly after temporarily losing connection. It
could also be that your modems channel is set to like channel 1 where everything interferes with it.

4)If all else fails call support. They should be able to walk you through further troubleshooting steps.
