    XBox Live 3-Month Subscription Promo Never Received


    My apologies, I should've first asked and clarified what customer support you spoke to, as Microsoft has customer support for different services. These promotional offers sometimes do have technicalities, and I understand situations like this can be frustrating.
    On the Microsoft Store online you have the option of buying an Xbox Live Gold subscription in two ways.

    The first way is to subscribe to the service by setting up a payment option to renew the subscription on a cycle depending on which one you get and it applies the subscription directly to your account. No redemption of code is necessary.

    The second way is to buy a digital code and the code will be sent to your email, which you then need to redeem from the email directly or you can do so from your Xbox. The subscription is not applied directly and no auto renewal is set up, but you do have
    the option to set that up when inputting a pre-paid code. Once you input the 25 digit pre-paid code, the subscription is then applied to the account.

    Usually for these promotions, the 3 month subscription that applies is the first method of buying the subscription using a payment method and setting up an auto renew, and then they send you an additional 3 month subscription in the form of a pre-paid code
    to your email that you can use to stack the time for the service.

    I would recommend you contact
    Xbox Support
    so they can verify which method you used to get the subscription during that promotion window and hopefully they can provide you with what was promised if your purchase did apply to the conditions of the promotion. I hope this helps.

    For all that having this issue truly sorry for any inconvenience please make sure to check the email you log in with on the Microsoft account. When checking the email make sure to check junk/spam folders
    as sometimes the emails do go there. Also check xbox live messages on the console itself when you go to messages check the bottom one says messages from xbox live. If not in any of them you would need to verify how it was purchased. I had purchased this exact
    one and I got my code.

    Here is the problem if you did do it correct and didn't get code it is void now so support would need to help you further due to verifying purchase and all that they also can check see if any codes have
    been redeemed on the account. the promo 3 month code was only good until August which was a problem on another thread due to people waiting until now to redeem.

    ...and after my fifth attempt to get this taken care of I just got an email saying I NEED to call another department to get this taken care of. Worst customer service! I cant wait for that department to tell me to pist something on this community forum.

    I am having a difficult time trying to understand this response. ??? I made a purchase for a 3-month subscription and redeemed the code that was provided for those 3-months. When I made the purchase it clearly indicated a separate code would be EMAILED
    to me within 10 days. The issue is that this code was NEVER sent. I don't understand why I have to post to a community forum to get this resolved. How difficult is it to just email a code and fulfill the terms of the promo?
