XBOX LIVE 2ND ACCOUNT

Hi all

I pay for an annual Xbox Live Gold account.

My sons are driving me mad as they have only one account which they share, and although we have 2 XBOX's in the house, they cannot play FORTNITE and other such games at the same time.

Do I need to purchase another XBOX Live account so there can be two available so they can play at the same time on separate consoles in the house.

As you've probably gathered, I'm a useless 40 something that is only good for paying for V bucks, FIFA points etc.

yes the age restricted is what i mean, yes i have a 2nd xbox live account on it, that account has work, now it was a mistake an so musst i make a 2nd xbox live account for my girlfriend, and since i have the 2nd, both accounts dosent work

I recommend to create a 2nd account (will not have the saves or game time the other account has) and set the first account (the account that has Xbox Live Gold) as the
home console to share the Xbox live gold. (You wouldn't have to buy a 2nd gold)

GameShare allows an account to share all of its console from one account to another.

1. The account that owns gold set it as the home on the 2nd console.

2. Keep the account that owns gold on the first account to play.

3. Create a second account and sign in on the 2nd console.

I hope I don't come across as an imbecile, and thankyou for the advice.

To summarise, if I have 'Dread7' (my gamertag) working on one xbox console, if my other son signs in on another using his account, does he have to create a separate gamertag? Or is just easier to pay another £40 to Microsoft and get gold for him.......

Apologies, but I'm really struggling to figure this out.

I will try to put this as simply as possible

Xbox 1 (with son A)

Your account on Xbox with this Xbox set as the home console for your account

Son A plays using his account and shares your Gold Membership and game saves are on Son A's account

Xbox 2 (and son B)

Son B plays on this Xbox using YOUR account and therefore uses your Gold membership and games saves will be saved to YOUR account.

2 things to note using this setup. Since both you and son B are using your account and there is only 1 save slot available only you or Son B can play each game. You both can't play the same game otherwise you'll be using each other's save game. Unfortunately
there is no way around that problem. You have to the one signed on Xbox 2 orgerwise you will need to pay for son B's Gold membership as well as another copy of the game for his account.

2nd thing to realize is that YOU are responsible for any actions or purchases made on your account even if someone else violated the code of conduct or made the purchase. So if Son B for example swears or insults another player and Xbox Enforcement suspends
your account privileges. That suspension stands. It makes no difference who the actual person is. Same is true if you let a friend use your account. So please take the appropriate steps to prevent unauthorized purchases (such as setting up passkey that's required
for all purchases). And of course educating both children about the Code of Conduct and such to avoid any of those issues.

There is also a small advantage here. Any achievements Son B earns goes towards your gamerscore and account.

I hope I have explained this in.a way that helps you set it up and makes you aware of the risks associated with sharing your account in this manner.

Hey there!

To clarify, are you trying to add a second account to your Xbox 360 or are you trying to add Xbox Live Gold functionality to a second account? If you'd like to create another Xbox Live account, you can do so by signing out of the main account (Press the
Xbox button followed by the X button) and then select 'Create Account'.

In order for the second account to access Xbox Live Gold features, it will need it's own Gold Membership. The Xbox Live Gold Family Pack was discontinued in 2013 and the current Home Gold Sharing program applies to the Xbox One system.
