xbox live 14 days xbox live gold trial

Hey, i bought a new xbox one 500 GB console and there was this 14 days xbox live trial

i followed the instructions to activate it via the website: www.xbox.com/redeemcode

and it wrote, that i may have to activate it vie my console..

i tried activating the code via console and it wrote me, i may have to activate it via another website..

how can i break this circle of nonesense?

New to XB1

First time poster and first time xbox user so go easy on me....

Just traded in my PS3 at best buy and got xbox loaded up and playing halo for the first time...it's so so will pick up BF4 later on today.

I have a 14 day free trial for xbox live gold which I am using, should I be able to take advantage of the free ea access trial this week and be able to download and play their games for a few days?

Once the free trial is over for xbox live gold I'm assuming I will need to purchase an xbox live subscription, is xbox live gold the only option? I can't find any information online about anything other than the gold subscription so am a little confused, why there would be a gold option but no bronze/silver/platinum/diamond etc?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Im sorry to hear about this loop you are experiencing. I recommend
contacting Xbox support
to speak with a live agent. Say "No thanks" to the virtual agent to request a callback. That way they can investigate your account and the code for possible solutions.

I understand that a xbox game pass 14 days trial code or a xbox live gold 14 days trial code can't be used/sold as xbox game pass ultimate 14 days trial code for sure.

Because a 'xbox games pass ultimate 14 days trial code' equals a 'xbox game pass 14 days trial code + xbox live gold 14 days trial code', so for new Microsoft/Xbox accounts, a 'xbox game pass ultimate 14 days trial codes' could be used/sold as 'xbox game
pass 14 days trial code' or 'xbox gold live 14 days trial code' , right?

Please help to clarify.

if u buy a xbox console then u will get given a 14 day free trial but xbox dont give away 14 days free trial for xbox live gold

Hello Cianka,

that is why unable to get the backward compatible games. They will not work with the 14 day trial unfortunately. In this link

describing Xbox live gold there is a section explains the trials.

With an Xbox Live Gold 2- to 14-day trial, you can get Xbox One Games with Gold, and discounted Gold deals.

If it was a one month trial you could get the backward compatible games.

just purchased the tomb raider 1tb xbox one bundle, which comes with a 14 day xbox live gold trial. it actually says "activate your 14 day xbox live gold trial." i am having the same issues. cannot dl free games, yet able to chat. if i try to dl a free game,
it wants me to upgrade to gold. WTF? it says live gold trial! explain that!
