    Hi,

    On July 10th while I was on my Xbox frontpage, I saw at the far right a promotion including Minecraft. I went on the page and the promotion was : subscribe to a 12month xbox live gold membership and get Minecraft + Favorites Pack. It was written in smaller
    characters under the promotion that the membership MUST be bought from that promotion page in order to receive further information to download the game. It said that messages would be sent until (I think) 5 or 6 of August. I haven't received any info yet and
    chatted with Xbox support who strongly suggested I post here so here it goes.

    Xbox Live. GOLD.

    It works out cheaper to buy a 12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription, than it does to buy 12 one month Xbox Live subscriptions.

    Just something to keep in mind.
