    A few weeks ago, Microsoft removed the 12 months Xbox Live Gold subscription from their digital stores. What was the reason for this and will the 3 months Gold be next?

    I don't believe they've given a reason for this and unless something is announced in the future, the 3 month option is staying. You can also still purchase prepaid 12 month codes from retailers.

    Nothing has been confirmed, as you say only rumours. The 12 months has only been removed from the Microsoft Store. Other stores still have them.
