    Recently purchased 1 month live gold

    Have been unable to redeem

    error 0x801613C9.

    Acct shows membership we paid using a creditcard on line which we ended up doing out of frustration, but cannot activate prepaid card.

    Yes you will need Xbox live. It works out at around £3.33 a month.

    Keep your eye out for some bargains on Xbox live.

    I think you might still get a 1 month free pass when you set your account up via the Xbox.

    You can currently get a 12 + 1 Month Xbox Live Gold Membership from CDKeys for £29.90.

    We see that you are not receiving Gold Status this month due to your subscription being a promotional Gold subscription for 1 month. Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, so your free 1 month is not eligible. From our FAQ:
