Xbox Lite/Go?

So I was thinking. When can we get an Xbox that is a little more portable. I work on the road, and want to play Xbox, but right now its just not convenient to bring it along. the thin plastic could break way too easy, and its just bulky. is it possible to
get an xbox put inside a laptop, even if it didn't have a disk drive. Downloaded games only. I would be happy with that. i just want to play Madden on the road. and EA hasn't said anything about releasing it on PC.

I would like to add also that my proposed lite xbox would not work as a stand alone, it would need the bundled Xbox in order to work.

Let me start with, I have pre-ordered my Xbox one several months ago. Now I'm stuck with thinking of where I want to set it up. Currently playing games on my 360 on a 24" monitor that I share with my pc. I do have a 50" tv that I don't feel very comfortable
playing certain games on it. Now I have been thinking of either getting a 27" tv or monitor, but I would really like to have the kinect and all the media features on my big screen tv.

The point of this post is, since the marketing of the xbox one is an all in one media/entertainment machine. Wouldn't it be nice if they made a barebone box with no HDD in it, no kinect or gamepad (or with gamepad) bundled, that networks with the "main"
box that would not cost another $499? I'm sure many of you out there would love to have 2 maybe or 3 xbox but at that price point could not afford it.

 

As of right now the solution to this could the the Xbox Play Anywhere program. This program allows users in the Xbox and Windows eco system play the same games on the console and Windows 10 pc. The idea is that you purchase the digital game once and you
are able to play it on both the console and a Windows 10 pc/laptop, plus your game saves sync between the two. The program just launched recently with just a hand full of first party games (Recore, Gears Of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, etc..) but Xbox plans to
bring more games to the play anywhere portfolio. There plan is to have third party publishers join in on the program but right now it's more of a wait and see. Hopefully this is something that catches on and becomes a benefit for customers, Xbox and developers
alike. If Play Anywhere takes off you most definitely will see those third party developers such as EA or UBiSoft making there games available to the program.

It's well on it's way where you purchase one game and have it available to you on both platforms. Right now the program is in it's infancy but I'm excited about the outcome. Keep you fingers crossed. Cheers!
