xbox light is on - but my TV wont connect to the xBox

Hey all,

When I turn on my x box one, the light comes on but my TV wont pick up the signal of my Xbox. I have tried all the suggested ideas of doing cold reboot, and starting the console in low res mode (eject + power button), but nothing works.

I have checked my HDMI cable is in the correct port on the xbox and I have tried the cable in different ports of my TV that are working with other devices.

I have purchased a venom charge and play dock which I recently plugged into my xbox, could this have anything to do with the issue?

Really upset at this issue as I was planning a night playing Fallout 4

No lights on XBOX n Controller wont connect!

ok so i have an xbox 360 slim 250gb and had it just under a year, when i go to use it now the power light on the xbox wont turn on and no green lights appear, but it still turns on because it goes to dashboard on my TV, ALSO it wont connect my controller!!
it just disconnected my controller while i was playing and i dont know what to do!

 

New XBOX 360 boot issue *please help

So today I go to turn on my xbox start a little gaming then all of a sudden ....... there no signal from my xbox to tv (hdmi cord) .. the xbox turns on but the light doesnt circulate around the ring and the controller wont connect to the xbox .. theres green
light on my power supply when xbox is turned on and orange when turned off. Ive check the cables and inputs on my tv but nothing happens. You can hear it turn on then stop like its not turning over, im trying to figure this out if anyone can give me some idea
of what is happening that would be awesome.

 

Try this. Unplug the power on the TV the perform a hard reset on the console. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power
cord back in and restart the console. Plug the TV back in and turn it on. Once everything is back up and operational test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!

 

Thanks for the suggestion Genesis. It did not work unfortunately. Still stuck with the same issue . Just cant understand what it could be... the Console was working fine earlier and I did not change any cables or settings since then. The only thing i did
was plug in my new venom charging pack on the back of my controller and plugged the dock into the side of the Xbox. I have since removed this though to make sure that wasnt effecting it.

 

Can you test the XBOX on a different TV?

 

Wish I could! I guess that will have to be the next thing i try if there is nothing else. I dont have another tv so ill have to use someone elses or soemthing.
