XBOX LIED ABOUT BEING ABLE TO STILL PLAY GAMES WITHOUT INTERNET CONNECTION!!!

Do you remember those campaign ads between playstation and xbox, especially the one about being able to play games off line? We xbox users were so angry about xbox saying you had to have an internet connection in order to play its games, and how sony was
about to blow away the competition because they said you don't need to have internet to play games. Then xbox, after getting tons of flack for that, recanted and said ok, you won't need internet connection.

LIES, ALL LIES!!!. A perfect example of this is gears of war 4. My internet connection is stupid crazy slow, so I don't play games online very much if at all. So every dam time I try to play it says it needs to do an update, which takes a good 45min at best.
So when I try to deny the update, it goes back to the xbox home screen. I try to play again and still the same thing, so I can't even play without the stupid update. So then I finally do the stupid update and try to play again, but then says, you must login
to xbox live in order to play. So you see, if I didn't have an internet connection, I wouldn't even be able to play my games. Total BS xbox.

Offline Xbox One Question

Hi all, I own an Xbox One and will be without an internet connection for the next two months. If I buy a new game for my Xbox One and it needs an update, can I still play my game without updating? I won't have an internet connection so I won't be able to install any updates.

With all the issues with Xbox Live lately, Xbox should make it so we can still play downloaded games without needing an internet connection! This is ridiculous that we spend atleast $59.99 for a new game but yet cannot play it without an internet connection.
How about refunding us some of our money back if the products and services we have paid for are not able to be used!

 

If your xbox is set to your home Xbox you can play offline. Even back on the 360 you couldn't skip updates.
