XBOX LAUNCHER INSTALLS IN WRONG LOCATION

...despite being switched in settings on both PC & the app itself. I see this is a common problem online with no resolutions to-date. Most responses to the question are stupid & don't take into account the user's ability to operate a computer. Let me state clearly; It is recommended to select where to install a game -that you go to settings, select the drive/folder, & voila.
IN REALITY it does not work. The app even resets previously checked or unchecked boxes on its own. There is no save for settings, & despite a multitude of angles on this issue, it is seemingly not possible to install a game from game pass -which I might add sucks in Cloud Gaming, because it runs as well as playstation now, even with a strong connection. SO CAN YOU HELP ME INSTALL ON MY SSD INSTEAD OF MY COMPUTER ITSELF? I think not but go ahead give me a generic response. This is ridiculous. Very crooked scheme.

this should be posted in the windows section, not the xbox section, as it is not about xboxes, but rather, the xbox launcher app for windows.

When i try to it says "There’s a problem with Minecraft Launcher. Reinstall the application from its original install location or contact your administrator."

Did you uninstall the launcher but are trying to remove the main data files?

Once the launcher was installed, the default install for the game is:

C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\ Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\

That is unless you manualy chose a different location.

You will need to un-hide the AppData folder in order to access or delete this folder.

If you don't have an Xbox it means that you were able to install it through Epic Games Launcher and by that, you may need to reach out to Epic support in that way they can investigate further and locate the account where the subscription is active.

Minecraft is currently undergoing a migration with its Java edition that might be affecting what you are doing. Things like installation directories or other items might have caused an issue with this application. We also don't support the application itself or any issues that may arise from its use. My recommendation is to reach out to Optifines publisher and see if they can give you any advice. They have a discord, twitter, and reddit channel they regularly checkup that might be able to help.

I will keep this thread open for other members of the community to help if anyone has experience in this situation.
