    Xbox lag and party disconnecting


    I've had this strange 2 part issue that has happened a lot recently.



    Setup: I'll be playing a multiplayer game (PUBG, Overwatch, Smite, etc) while in Party Chat.



    Issue 1: All of the sudden the game will get very laggy where I can't do anything without the environment changing (such as picking up items or healing, etc). I will also stop hearing my friends in Party Chant,
    when I check, my status in the party will change to connecting. The vibrations in the controller will still respond to what is happening on other people's screens but the video I'm seeing will not reflect at all what is happening. For example, I'll be walking
    to cover on my screen while not getting shot at but I'll feel the vibrations of getting hit with shots in the controller.



    Eventually I'll need to quit the game and go back in, sometimes with success, other times with no luck.



    Issue 2: I'll then quit the Party Chat and get back in. When I do the Party Chat overlay will stop appearing and I won't get any Xbox notifications, such as me joining a part, other people joining the party or
    favorite people signing online, etc. Further I can't capture what is happening through the Xbox. I'll click the button to capture and nothing will happen.



    I think Issue 1 may be just a connection issue (I'm looking into a new router to address this) but the 2nd issue is just so confusing.



    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Xbox connection issues HELP!!!

    Why do I only disconnect from an xbox live party when a certain person joins my party? It also causes whatever game I'm playing to lag and sometimes disconnect. Really frustrating. We both have open NAT types. Otherwise connection is flawless. Even have gone into my router settings and opened all necessary ports. PLEASE HELP!!!

    Xbox connection issues HELP!!!

    Are you sharing internet connection? Because this "both have open NAT types" sounds like you are sharing internet.

    Xbox Losing connection

    Been playing now for ~ 30 min. with no disconnect, however whenever I join Xbox Live Party, I lag constantly. Probably separate issue.

    Unfortunately with the network bridge everything is taking much longer and i disconnect much faster. So I plugged in the homeplug again. Cleaning the cache(with homeplug) made the xbox a lot faster and there was no lag anymore while playing fifa. But it's
    just after a while my party disconnects and then or it reconnects by itself or the whole xbox live disconnects. It's like one big lag spike disconnects me and I can directly connect again. Is it possible I screwed up opening ports?

    Hi, I never get disconnected from LIVE in general, only game and party. Usually in BF3 it will lag badly a few seconds before I get disconnected from the party. Sometimes I maintain connection with the game, sometimes not. As far as other games go, the only

    i"m all so have prombles with xbox live update people keep lag out of partys, glitch with party when there double gamertags,

    be disconnected from live, xbox freezing when going back to the dashboard. Thanks microsoft for the great update you idiots.

    Keep lagging out with certain players out of Xbox LIVE parties.

    Actually yes. I think it may have something to do with my Ping or something. I will lag out of games by myself, and I play League of Legends as well and it also happens in League where I disconnect and reconnect frequently. I should have also mentioned with
    the Xbox LIVE parties that when I lag out, it puts me back into the party a second later.
