    Like so many other posters here, I am adding my voice to here as well: Why stop selling a simple adapter, that should have been included in the first place.

    First removing the Kinect port for all those that "upgraded", then telling everyone one can buy/get a cable, only to pull it off the market a few months later! Does MS really love to annoy their fan base, or is someone in charge who like to bring down Xbox
    just like the mobile phones were brought down (about the latter: yes there WAS market share, in the EU actually higher than iPhones).

    Yes, it has been announced, but does MS expect their customers to keep track of these developments, like pulling a simple but crucial $40 cable?? Just very disappointing.

    No verification email that free Kinect adapter for Xbox One S has been processed?

    Hi, according to
    support.xbox.com/.../kinect-adapter     you do need to contact customer support and they should be able to make an order for a free adapter.

    As to why you can't make the request yourself, that is indeed a mystery.

    And yes, you should receive an email that your adapter is being shipped.

    Customers who have just purchased a Kinect sensor to use with their Xbox One S console can buy the adapter from the Microsoft Store or other participating retailers.

    There is no free adapter if you purchased the S and a Kinect.
