I see. Sorry for my confusion. So, the account must be an adult account for you to be able to remove/change your Xbox 360 password. A Microsoft agent cannot change your account to an adult even if you prove it with documents, nor will they accept any kind of documentation. They won't unlock the console, they'll tell you the step-by-step for you to do it through your account.

Are you really an adult? Does your Microsoft account has an adult birthdate without you ever changing it? I ask because child accounts cannot change their Xbox profile privacy settings. Doesn't matter if they are on a family group or not. Also, changing your Microsoft account birthdate does not change your Xbox profile birthdate. So if you try to change it to make yourself an adult, it will not work. The Xbox profile birthdate is set when you create your Xbox profile and cannot be changed.

So please tell me if you are really an adult or you just changed your Microsoft account birthdate to be an adult. Or if you are an adult but your Microsoft account birthdate was wrong when you created it - which would also make your Xbox profile not be an adult now.

Are you trying to log into the child account or the adult account that monitors the child account?

As far as I know the only way to change a child account is if it is linked to an adult account under family settings, and then you can edit all its settings and age, just know its not an easy task.

But as for not logging in it could of just either been a drop in connection or an issue on xbox side, have you tried again recently? also maybe resetting your password might help.

if your account was setup in automatic (because of the age) under a parental account only the parental account can promote a child's account to adult otherwise you will always have this kind of problem.
