Xbox keeps shutting down randomly

ever since the most recent preview update my xbox keeps shutting itself down at random moments. It seems to happen when i'm just sat on the home screen doing nothing for a couple of minutes. I played a game for about 2 hours and it's fine but it gets annoying
if i leave my xbox on the home screen for a few minutes to go out the room and it shuts down. I occurs more frequently when i'm downloading a game aswell and i've left my xbox on to download it so i keep having to reset it to continue the download.

Hey there! To minimize confusion because troubleshooting may be different for preview updates than regular versions, you'll want to post this, and everything else preview related in the preview forums (forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx).
This will also ensure that the proper team sees your post and can help you out. Also, make sure you look at the list of known issues to see if there is a workaround.

If you haven't already, be sure to report any issues via the preview app on your console, so that all relevant data gets reported to Microsoft.

Mines doing the same. Shutting down and not turning on unless I unplug and plug it back. Then it's only on for a few minutes before doing it again. And as much as I'd love to send a report. It's kind of hard to do when it shuts down my xbox. It's about to
be restored to factory. This is pissing me off

Also factory resetting your Xbox One while in the NXOE doesn't reset it back to the regular dashboard, there's additional steps which need to be taken.

Q: Can I opt-out of the New Xbox One Experience Preview?

A: Yes. During the Preview period, there are two ways you can opt-out of receiving New Xbox One Experience Preview updates.

Prior to receiving the New Xbox One Experience Update Preview, take no action – we’ll default you to remaining on the Existing Xbox One Experience preview. You’ll still get the benefits of Preview, like Backward Compatibility, but you’ll stay on the current
Xbox One update that’s available to the public. Later, just before the general release of the New Xbox One Experience, we’ll update your console to the latest Preview build, so you’ll still get it a little early.

In the Registration area of the Xbox Preview Dashboard, you can choose Remove to remove your console from the program entirely. Your console’s removal will be processed within 72 hours.

If you'd like to remain a part of the Preview program and return to the original Xbox One experience, open the Registration area of the Xbox Preview Dashboard, select 'Change' and then select 'Preview - Original Xbox One Experience'. Like the Remove option
above, your console will take a factory reset as part of this change.

NOTE: If you choose this option after taking the New Xbox One Experience Preview update, your console will go back to the current general release of the Xbox One software, but this will restore factory defaults on your console, and erase all
locally stored accounts, apps, games, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. We encourage all users to download/copy your favorite games to External Hard disks to ensure a quick recovery option in the event of data loss from a removal.

Mine is doing the same but keeps making the power up are down beep randomly after it shuts off did you find a way to fix yours?
