Xbox keeps restarting and grey screen

This has been happening for about three months so basically i lost internet for about 3 months and i have been play red dead 2 and i had updates for the xbox but my hotspot could not handle the updates so i ignored em and all the sudden i booted my console
up and when i hit anything on the controller it went gray and sorta did a restart thing going back to blank menu and this happend for a week so i factory reset it and now it’s on the default white controller hit A buttom menu and when i hit A it seems like
it moves at 15 fps and goes to the menu to set up everything and then i cant move or select anything and it goes grey and goes back to where it started

Hi BoxCar,

Thanks for coming to the forums. With console updates, if you ignore them, eventually they will automatically install. This could be why it is doing the grey screen. Try leaving it go for a bit to see what happens. It may be trying to apply an update. If
continue to get the grey screen you will need to do an
offline update and after that is done update the console when you connect to the internet.

You might want to do a hard restart on your Xbox.

Are you in the Insider/Preview Program?

Have you tried waiting on the grey screen for a minute? Nothing happens?

Have you tried turning off your Xbox completely for 30 seconds and restarting?

I just got the same thing. Its the first screen to load and it is white with the green and grey xbox logo. I have restarted it unplugged and plugged back in. I do hear a slight humming that is not normal. It will sit at that screen for 10 mins or until i
turn it off. Mine is the first elite model thou.
