Xbox Keeps Resetting

So here’s my problem. All I have been using my Xbox for this past year is Netflix. Every night before bed I watch it and every morning before work. Last night when I went to turn my Xbox in I had to go through initial setup. It’s almost as if someone reset
my console because my best friends profile was not on there anymore. So this morning I wake up and then my console on and what happens? I have to go through the initial setup once again. So what’s the problem here? Any suggestions?

After working on it a bit some more, I figured out what my problem was. But first, I'd like to apologize to Microsoft for my sarcasm in my last couple of msgs. I thought I should suck it up and come back on and say whats really wrong, just in case others
have the same problem and find this thread. Its my TV. Its an older 1st gen model of a DLP, so its quite a bit old for DLP HDTV. Anyways, I hooked up my other xbox 360 to it, and it did the same thing to me, so I switched over to my PS3, and did the same
thing. I even tried using different HDMI wires, so I know for sure its the TV. And it makes sense, because the Consoles know when your TV is being turned on when you are using HDMI, so when the HDMI on the TV side would flicker or turn off and back on, its
resetting the consoles. Bummer. This sucks, cause a nice TV costs more than a new console (although I wasn't going to buy a new 360, just a pain to keep bringing my other one from one room to another). Especially a 50" TV like i have now. No way I can
downgrade a size!!! But in defense to my TV, I've had it since my first 360 which was about 6 or 7 years ago now?

you'd think they would try fixing the problem after we've spent some much money on they're products but all they care about is they money not the costumer. its all started with the new update

 

This is happening to me too, it just started today. Initial setup every time I turn it on.

 

This has been happening to me as well. I've tried to do the update after going through the set up twice now, doesn't seem to be taking, and every time I turn it back on I have to re-sign in.

if you have your xbox one console on instant on mode try put it on energy saving mode

 

Same here! This morning I went through the "initial setup" process, then had to update.

Went home for lunch. turned on the Xbox. Same thing. Ran through the "initial setup" process again, and had to update.

 

Exact same problem, as of yesterday, every time I turn the system back on, it has reset itself, over and over again. All my games, apps and mod reserve data gone.

 

Same here. Turning off updates until I hear about fix. Hope that helps.

 

Same happened here. Profile was gone, but once I signed back in everything was there, including my game downloads. First started last night and happened again today. And I've only had mine (the S model, btw) for around a month or so.

 

Edit: turned it on again today and the narrator was somehow turned on. My network is completely secured and I'm pretty sure nobody I don't know has access to both the network and Xbox

 

Found a fix: turn off updates and DO NOT UPDATE!!! Didn't update the OS and turned it off and on again and it was completely normal!

 

Instead of instant on I put on the longer on option and it hasn't happened in 2 days.
