Xbox keeps over heating

My Xbox keeps over heating. They have faulty heat sinks in the Xbox or something. I only had my Xbox for a little more than two years. I had to buy thermal paste and redo the heat sink, and it's still over heating. I know that I applied the thermal paste
right, so maybe it

ain't the heat sink. Maybe it's some other faulty part they used. It's nothing that I have done , I've taken care of my Xbox since the day

I bought it. And I bought it new. I think they should have to repair or replace my Xbox.

Xbox one s keeps turning off after an hour

My Xbox one s keeps turning off after an hour I've been to settings and turned off 1 hour automatic shut down but still it keeps turning off I thought it my be over heating so I had it cleaned but no problems please help

As you have already attempted to repair the console yourself then the option to return your console for repair is no longer available plus I don't think we can advise you on repairing the console.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

Based on the information you have provided; it seems like there may be a software issue causing your Xbox to shut off and display the overheating message. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if they help resolve the issue.

Use or move your Xbox Console to another socket.

Try to move the console to another socket.

Or move the console to a new location and see if issue persists.

Try clearing the cache on your Xbox

Hold down the power button for 10 seconds until it turns off, unplugging the power cord from the back of the console, waiting 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in and turning it on.

Update Xbox Console.

Make sure your Xbox is up to date with the latest system updates for OS version: 10.0.25398.2538.

You can check for updates by going to Settings > System > Updates & downloads.

Factory reset your Xbox and keep all games and apps:

If the issue persists, you may want to try a factory reset of your Xbox.

This will erase all data and settings on your console, so be sure to back up any important data before proceeding.

To do a factory reset, go to Settings > System > Console info > Reset console > Reset and keep my games & apps.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware issue and you may need to contact our live support for further assistance.

Hello Drnoam,

If the console is in fact overheating, we recommend getting it repaired if possible. You do have a few options when it come to this. You can see if there is a local Microsoft store to take it into. You can go to

device support and set up a repair there. If the console is in warranty this would be the best option. If it has started overheating it will only get worse. You can check this link out for

position of the Xbox. Also if possible get a can of compressed air and blow the dust out of the console.

Are you using a plug board for power and does it have or are you using any surge protection. They can mess your Xbox up.
