Xbox keeps losing sound and can only hear game chat

Xbox one keeps losing sounds when turned it off

have tried:

Different head set

different monitor

another hdmi cable

have tried reseting audio and adjust settings in both in audio settings and game settings , also checked all volume and inputs .

Only thing that fixes it is constanlty resetting the xbox and keeping games ,

Make sure that your HDMI cables are securely connected to your console and display.

Check for any visible damage on the HDMI cables or the ports on the console and display.

Try using a different HDMI port on your console and display.

Reset your console to factory defaults by going to "Settings" > "System" > "Console info" > "Reset console".

If the issue persists, there may be a problem with the hardware in your console.

Xbox live appears to be having issues right now with messaging and parties, I am having the same issues.

is there a place to plug a wired headset directly into the Xbox One and just get chat sound ( no game sound included)? for example, can I plug a USB headset directly into the console for chat only? The reason being, if there's a USB port that i can use
to get chat only, I've found a USB adapter that'll allow you to connect it to a Bluetooth headset. Hence, I can have a simple mono headset that gives me chat only and I can get surround sound from my surround set up without having to hear people through my
speakers or have people hear conversations that occurr in my family room between people. They also don't need to be assaulted by the vulgarity of gamers. I'm trying to replicate the Xbox 360 headset experience.

Found out that I can hear game and chat if I plug my headset into the 3.5mm splitter (converts headset and mic 3.5mm 3 position into single 4 position). But then I lose surround sound and the audio through the chat adapter sounds horrible when compared to
it being plugged into the DSS. Not to mention the frequent popping noises from the chat adapter.

Why can I not chat using the single 3.5mm mic cable? Why does it have to be such a hassle?
