Xbox keeps going back to factory defaults

your console could possibly be corrupted if you just got it you should still be under warranty so you can probably get it serviced by Microsoft

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue trying to get you console to stop doing that.

I would say that if it keeps doing that and the previously posted troubleshooting step didn't work, it looks like you have a console that is in need of repair. You should see if you can take it back where you got it and perhaps get an exchange.

If you're unable to get it exchanged, your warranty with the console should help you get a repair through

Device Support or by getting in touch with an agent in
customer support.

not sure this will fix anything. but can you try to do a factory reset yourself to see if that stops the issue

Please try it via these steps:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug the power cord back in. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons
   for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart.
   
   Note If you don't hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this failed. Likewise, if you hear any “power-down” chirps, that also means this failed.
   
   You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone. This should show a menu with the option to factory reset the console, if it does not please try the steps again

Thanks for coming back to the forums. I reviewed the previous post and this one. We are going to recommend a

soft factory reset, as this will take the profile completely off and reset console to factory default. When doing the reset, make sure to select reset and keep games and apps.
