Xbox keeps crashing when playing Fortnite

Hi,

My XBox OneS keeps crashing when playing Fortnite. Also crashing when I play Sims4 and Overwatch, but not as often.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?

I am unable to launch Fortnite

I am able to login to Fortnite but can’t get it to launch. It keeps crashing.

Hey CatMc100,

Thanks for letting us know about this issue, if some games are repeatedly crashing I recommend re-installing them. Here are some steps for

re-installation:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select
My games & apps.

Select Games.

Highlight the game you want to uninstall, press the Menu button , and then select
Manage game.

Select Manage all, select Uninstall all, and then select
Uninstall.

If this issue persists it would be good to try out a soft factory reset here are the steps for a

soft factory reset:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select System.

Select Console info & updates.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps

Many thanks.

Uninstalled Fortnite and reset the console and so far the problem seems to be resolved.

My console is also crashing when playing. NBA 2k and fortnite.

If you have done a factory reset of the console, and only Fortnite crashes when you play -- you would want to look into support specifically for Fortnite and reach out to their forums instead of these forums.
