Xbox joystick not excepting certain input

Hello!

I have started to notice a problem with my left joystick where if I move it in a certain direction it doesn't do anything in game or it flickers on and off (say I was turning left in a car it would somewhat turn and then not at all and alternate back and
forth). I would like to know if there is a quick fix for this issue or if this means I have to buy a new controller

I would love to get an answer back relatively soon, thanks!

Xbox One Controller Input Lag Information

Hey guys!

As many of you are aware the Xbox One Controller (Xbox One, Xbox One Day One Edition, Xbox One Elite and the Xbox One S) has a very troublesome and annoying input lag issue after playing games for a certain amount of time. The time of course varies on much
input you are doing on the controller. While it may never be fixed (it has been an issue for a long time), I figured we could post our findings to help narrow down the issue and perhaps for others to troubleshoot and confirm exactly what is happening.

First, for anyone not familiar, the input lag issue is from the Xbox One controller creating an insane amount of input directions that are not overriden or erased at a quick enough speed causing CPUs to eventually become overworked and therefore slowing
your computer down. You'll first notice a few FPS drop and then it will gradually continue to drop until the game has sound errors and is unplayable.

Here are some things I have noticed and would love to hear if anyone else has noticed the same:

• Input lag gradually has an impact on FPS
• No games are immune to input lag
• By not moving the joysticks, FPS becomes steady at normal FPS
• Moving the joysticks creates the input lag
• Other buttons do not create input lag unless used in conjunction with joysticks
  
• Only the X-Axis input from either joystick creates lag (moving left and right)
  
• Issue was present before Anniversary update and is still present after Anniversary update
  

If anyone has noticed anything else or can validate or invalidate what I have observed, please do so. Hopefully, if we can narrow the issue down someone with the proper know how can create either a permanent or temporary fix until (or hopefully at all) Microsoft
fixes the issue themselves. I will update this post to consolidate all known information about the issue.

• 16GB DDR4
• Windows 10 64-bit
• DirectX 12

 

XBox Adaptive Controllor with Logitech 3D Pro Joystick setup

I bought this product, hoping to use my old Microsoft SideWinder Joystick with XBox (Joystick capabilities for FlightSims & Racing Games are a really miss on XBox)

Of course it did not work, even it is a HID Interface. Next step was to buy the Logitech Joystick, hoping this would work.

But -to stay fair - here it is written how the logitech Joystick works.

what i find a bit tricky is, that you have no direct Feedback, meaning, if you map a button you have to load the profile to make it work. But at least it works.
