    I have a new Xbox one s which I've been trying to set up. The is the left joystick on the controller won't scroll down making it impossible to use my Xbox overall. Anyone knows how to fix this ?

    Since you just bought the console, the controller that came with the console is under warranty. You can go to Microsoft's device repair website and have it fixed for free:

    Hello KimmLee,

    Sorry for the issue with the controller. We recommend to
    resync the controller     to the console. If this doesn't fix the issue, being you just got the console, if the controller came with it you can take it back to point of purchase and exchange it.

    Hey there Blanks thanks for keeping in touch!

    Short answer no, IF THE CONSOLE IS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNETno progress or purchase
    data will be lost, what we accomplish by doing these steps would be to resync the game to the cloud getting rid of any corruption as a byproduct.

    The only case where XBL would be needed would be through a Xbox 360.

    We hope this clarifies this issue but let us know so we can get it resolved.
