    I own an xBox One S that until the 20th of May 2023 has been working well. On 21/05/2023 the console has been updated automatically with "10.0.22621.4480 (xb_flt_2305ni.230503-1400)". After this, the console started to be very slow or locked in a black screen during the booting phase. I tried the 6 steps described here https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/console/startup-error. I have repeated twice time step 3 (file OSU1) and removed everything (data, games, and apps), but the problem is still there. Just to give more details, for instance with Fifa 23 game sometimes when I press a button, the screen remains locked for seconds. Also when I was configuring WiFi after the system update the cursor was stuck for seconds during typing WiFi password. It seems to me a software problem with the latest update as until then the xBox was perfect. Probably the latest update is not fully compatible with some hardware revisions?? Or it could be that I need to wipe completely the HDD.

    If can help to investigate the issue, during the OSU1 update (that I tried several times) I have seen in two different update the error E101 and E208.

    I hope someone can help me xBox issue after the latest update 10.0.22621.4480 (xb_flt_2305ni.230503-1400) :)

    Thank you very much for helping me in finding a solution.

    Consider that the update has been done automatically during the night so it could be that I had some issues with the power supply or network stability.

    Anyway, in the morning I had the update completed properly but with the slowness issue, but I repeated the update several times offline (OSU1) without any wired ethernet cable connected.

    I am not sure that is a hardware problem as before the automatic update, the xBox One S was working well. Anyway, can I speculate that the update was not completed properly and some sector of HDD has been corrupted and I need to wipe (completely) the File System or replace a new HDD?

    Considering that I am not anymore under the warranty period, so I could try to replace (or wipe completely) the HDD.

    What do you think?
    Did you Factory reset (wipe HDD) before attempting the OSU1?

    There could be a console operating system issue. It is also not possible to roll back updates to the console system. The only best option you have is to have you create a free console repair warranty order by signing your account and registering your console serial number here on this link:

    Just in case your console is no longer covered within the warranty period, as an alternative option you can still have your console repaired at your local gaming stores. No worries, I had a similar case before when I had my Xbox One X console repaired at the nearest electronic store due to a software issue and it worked like a charm.

    Hi, I believe that the only solution is to wipe or replace completely the internal hard disk. I have not tried it yet, but I believe that if you are out of the warranty you can do it by yourself, otherwise bring it to your local gaming stores for repairing

    Tried and failed for me. Even after a factory reset the update gives the error.
