    My xbox is wired to the internet through my laptop. I've never had a problem with this before but today it isn't able to find my IP address. I haven't changed anything since the last time I was able to connect. I've tried doing the manual settings but I'
    not sure if I did it right because it didn't work. Halp?

    i wrote down my ip address for my xbox to connect to my xbox one but it said "we are not able to find an xbox one console with the IP address provided.." is it because my console is off, or unplugged? BTW i am far away from my xbox like 5 km, why isn't it working?

    NAT issue Netgear R7000 router

    Wireless connection, on the 5ghz channel. And yes the firmware is up to date

    I tried setting up the xbox with a static IP; however, I wasn't able to find the DNS server IP address for my ISP.

    I've never set up a static IP so this is new territory for me.

    Xbox isn't able to find my IP address?

    Reset the router. Stick a pin/paperclip in the reset hole on back. It should reacquire IP.
