    xbox is telling me im wired when im not


    My Xbox is telling me im connected via ethernet when there is no ethernet present. Its not actually possible for me to connect wired as my router is downstairs and im up it wont let me turn this off and will not allow me to connect via wifi as it continuously
    asks me to remove the wired connection before attempting to connect via wifi.

    This xbox is the 3rd xbox ive had I had to replace the last two for the exact same reason thats £540 worth of xbox that ive replaced and (by the looks of things) going to rise to a hefty £810. Its beyond a joke I want to know if it can be fixed and how.

    broken again!
    this time one of the wires going to the red pad (its ALWAYS the red pad) has snapped where the wire is stuck to the plastic casing... gotta try and resolder that. real nuisance tho as im sure it will break again.

    i think i need to replace the wire, but havent got anything thin enough...
    a thicker wire will effect the resistance and maybe will absorb the hits so they wont all register... i dont know this im assuming xbox is telling me im wired when im not :rolleyes: xbox is telling me im wired when im not :rolleyes:
    will telephone wire be thin enough?

    Xbox live test works...Users can't connect to live though

    I tested out my xbox live test after none of our users will sign into xbox live. It keeps telling me to run a test and when I do everything is fine.



    It is a wired connection.

    @Warri0r im also having a problem, same thong to me.@Bootstrap it shows (on the xbox version) that its ready for download, but its not showing it when i go straight to xbox marketplace. Maybe Tell Tale accidentally wired it wrong?

    umm no i still get kicked off but when im on my girlfriends console im perfectly okay im usually wireless but ive been trying wired connection an it still kicks me off my console
