    Xbox is taking too long to turn on


    My little brother owns an Xbox One S, recently it started taking very long to turn on and when it does it cant open any applications or games. When I tried to see it for myself I realised that it tends to power itself off when I move the controller or when
    I power the controller on after it turns off(The controller is plugged in via usb cable, also I know this sounds crazy that it rurns off because I the controller). I'm assuming its some sort of a power or cache issue. Keep in mind that this xbox has been
    through a lot and it probably hasnt been treated the best either, It also has never been cleaned from the inside and it very well could be that its inner components have been worn off.

    If there are any tips or solutions that can help me fix the xbox please let me know.

    Hi SzaboSandor,

    I would try hard power cycling the console as below:

    To perform a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on. The system will turn off. When you hit the button again, it will start and display the green start-up screen. All your data is preserved, but cache is cleared and some
    settings are reverted and log-in or game start issues are resolved.

    Alternatively, you can perform a full shutdown by going to SETTINGS > POWER & STARTUP and change POWER MODE from Instant-On to Energy-saving. After changing the setting, choose "Turn Xbox off". It can be powered back on by holding down the GUIDE button
    on the Xbox controller or the button on the front of the Xbox console. Once it's back online you can go back to SETTINGS > POWER & STARTUP and re-enable Instant-on.

    Hi there! Sorry to hear about what happened. Let's do our best to sort this out.

    First, let's try to power cycle your console. Press and hold the Xbox power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug from the power source for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

    If the issue remains the same, it would be best if we perform a factory reset to remove potentially corrupted data on your console. There's an option to keep your games and apps.
    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
    Select Reset console.
    On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

    I haven't found a way around it myself yet, I do know the game downloads faster if you turn the system off. Other than that some games will let you play after it makes it to a certain portion of the download but if you start the game while its doing that
    itll slow the download speeds again and you may run in to some issues while playing the game.
