    Xbox is shutting down systematically a few seconds after starting


    Hi all. My xbox one needs to be started 3 or 4 times each time I want to play with it : a few seconds after first start, there is a "bip" and it shuts down. It does the same 2 or 3 times before I can play with it. After that, all is normal. My console is
    not hot (it happens a few seconds after starting) and the power supply is OK (white light). Does someone ahs an explantion for this ? Thx !!

    Felix from Xbox forums support here.

    Since you haven't used your xbox in a while.. it might need a good refreshing.

    How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console

    I would first try unplugging it from the power supply / power cord in the back of the Xbox for at least 5 mins.

    After 5 mins.. plug it back in and power it back on. Let me know if the problem continues.

    If it does continue... you might want to reset your console.

    Xbox One X keeps shutting down a few seconds after startup

    I haven't used my Xbox One X for a few weeks for I tried to go back on it today and it keeps turning on and then a few seconds later just shutting down? Has anyone else had this happen?

    Is the power supply extremely hot? Is it plugged into the wall outlet and not a surge protector? Have you double checked to make sure the power supply is secure into the wall and the back of the console? Definitely seems a little odd though.

    please try the steps mentioned on this support page in regards to not powering on:

    also check this link, since it also shuts down unexpectedly:
    https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/console-turns-off-unexpectedly    To see if you can fix the issue, if that doesn't fix the issue then I'm afraid the only options left will be having it repaired, steps are mentioned on the support
    pages.

    Thanks i will try waiting for 5 minutes as i was only waiting for 1 minute before.

    I seem to have to wait for about 20 seconds with my finger on the power as it firstly shuts down after a second, then starts after a couple more seconds, then finally shuts down after 20 seconds!!!??

    OneX keeps shutting down, it is not getting hot, shuts down after a few seconds.

    are you connected to the main wall outlet or via an extension? if via extension it may be that you are not getting the full amount of power required.
