xbox is saying my controller battieries are low when i just put new ones in

so i was playing cod and all of a sudden my an icon pops up saying my controller battieries are low, i thought that was weird because i just replaced them not long ago. So i put new AA batteries in it and at first everything was fine and then all of a sudden
it says my controller batteries are low. I tried taking them out and putting them back in and restarting my console and re-syncing the controller to the xbox but nothing worked, Is my controller broken? i have never dropped it or anything so i don't know why
this is happening

Why wont my controller work

When it said my controller batteries were low it disconnected so i put new ones in that were fully charged but the home button is on but non of the buttons actually work so i can't do anything.

Replacement plastic pieces

I am looking for the lower hand grips can I just buy 2 new ones or do I have to send in my controller to get them replaced my day one controller had cracked hand grips

If you have not already done so please check to see if the controller needs a firmware update.

To update the firmware select setting in the guide then all settings / kinect & devices then go to divices & accessories. select the controller and update firmware.

When you restarted your console did you do a hard reset? Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until it shuts down completely. Wait a couple of minutes then power it back on. That resolves a lot of these types of issues. Good Luck!

Vision Verrify

I have to say that the controller is guilty when hearing that noice, but if you have another controller you can try it on that one or on one of your friend's controller. If you don't hear the noice by then, your controller is guilty.

Another option that I experience with a combination of wireless controllers and wired headsets (mic) is that the battery may be low. If you own a wireless controller, please check your battery status or put some new charged in your controller and see of
the problem will disappear.

Yes, the light on the xbox one controller turns off completely. I have to keep pressing the button to turn it back on then it turns off shortly after again.

Also to add, My main xbox controller says full when I checked the batteries on it, when I removed the same batteries and put them into the new controller it says Medium.

So to make this even more confusing to figure out. I just dug out my old xbox one s, fired it up and tested all the controller on
it. The old ones still work fine. The black one that came with the new xbox series x works fine. The new style white controller that come with the new xbox series s and the new style black controller bought today from best buy BOTH have the headset low volume
problem on my old xbox one s. Totally confused at this point.
