    Xbox is paused?


    My Xbox got disconnected from the internet after we got a new router, and when i connect to the new router it says Irequire additional authentication. But when I select the option to give the authentication, it just brings me to a page that says my device is paused? I haven no idea why this is happening or what caused it.

    Hello, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

    I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

    - Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

    - Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

    - Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

    If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

    - Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    - Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    - Select Reset console.

    - Choose Keep Games and Apps

    Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.

    Xbox one kinect "show guide" doesn't show guide, it opens the friends menu on left.

    This happens to me (showing the firends menu) when I say "xbox pause" while watching Netflix or Hulu. It seems I have to first say "Xbox select" and then "pause" to pause now.

    Why?

    If I want to pause a movie, what should I do:

    A: "Xbox, Pause" (2 secs)

    B: Switch on Controller, Find Headset, Plug in Headset, "Xbox, Pause" (15+ secs)

    That is just a monumentally stupid idea.

    I do miss talking to my xbox since I traded in K1(and Kinect games) and got 90 bucks towards the xbox one.

    I've had this conversation with K1. My wife talks to it nice and it does what she wants lol. I really hope k2 picks up voice better.

    Hello, I don't currently own fallout 4, however the pause button is usually pretty consistent in being one of the two buttons directly located under the glowing xbox button. Pause is the 3 lines, most of the time. That button should pause most to all of your games. Your game will also continue from your last saved point, so if your game saves and you pause it, then turn it off. It'll be wherever the last save was. Pausing, then unpausing will keep you right where you are, pausing the game has no effect in of the game is open or not.
