Xbox is on but my screen is says no signal (black screen)

When i turn my xbox on, it turns on and works but the screen is completely blank with no signal. its done this before but I didn't actually fix it myself, it just worked again. I want to fix this all in one. I've tried all the tips and tutorials off the
xbox site that suit my exact problem but its absolutely usless! I use hdmi cable (the one you get with the xbox one). If anyone has experienced MY EXACT ISSUE, please reply ASAP! So many people have said many things on forums and none work and I've seen people
reply saying its useless! It would be greatly appreciated if someone or people could give some ideas/steps/tutorials that have worked for you or worked for other people with my exact problem.

    Thank You!

    :)

Hey mate, I don't see where you have said whether this is a 360 or Xbox One? Definitely makes it hard to help without knowing which console it is?

Did you reset your display settings to see if that works? This is for the 360, but you can navigate to Xbox One too:

    support.xbox.com/.../image-on-your-tv-is-unclear

Have you tried the console on a different TV, or a different cable on the same TV etc. to try and troubleshoot the issue to see whether it's the TV, console or cable causing the issue?

I would also suggest making a post in the actual support sections

Hi there, I'm using an Xbox one, firstly I can't get to the display settings because I can't even see any picture because there's no signal. I haven't tried hooking it up to another TV within my house because all the most important stuff is hooked up in
this room and it would be a big job to move everything out plus the most powerful connection is in here i also know that because there's a play station 3 at the other end and those nearly no connection for that and that also the only other TV in the house
so I'm seriously stumped. I've been to all those sites you've given me and all are no help (not working) I've tried them numerous times and never work! I don't plan on changing the cable because everyone i read about said they never work and I did some research
and everyone says they just waste their money. Thanks for the help mate, I really appreciate it! I mate just Take potluck and see if it "magically" fixes itself again but I'll definitely be a emailing Microsoft or Xbox depending where to go for the situation.
    Cheers once again!

  6. See the Xbox One support link? Go there and chose a heading that your issue best fits and make a post there, someone might have experienced the exact issue and have a fix for it, I myself have not experienced it so just throwing ideas at you.

  7. Also have you read into the support articles? You do not need to see the settings to be able to reset them:

•Reset your display settings. Here's how:

1.If there’s a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.

2.On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for five seconds to turn off the console.

3.Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console.

Note This will boot your console in a low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset these settings again, press the Menu button, select Settings, and then select Display & sound.

For more information on advanced display settings, see How to adjust display settings on your Xbox One console.

Yes, that was the first thing I did. It beeped like the steps said it would but nothing after that.

  9. This happened to me too. Tried everything in the trouble shooting guide with no success. Ended up sending it back to MS for repair.

I'm on my third one now -_-

  10. Wow, really? Well I guess I'll keep that in mind as I didn't know that was an issue that need repair or return!

I'm going to suggest it could be a faulty HDMI cable or a loose connection. Try to unplug it and insert it again, if that fails try another HDMI cable.

So did you originally have it hooked into the HMDI pass through or something?

Thanks for posting back though, I will keep this in mind, what a simple fix!
