Xbox is on but it shows nothing on the tv

Thank you for coming by to the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help.

First, go through each of the following steps and try every method to find a resolution:

• Confirm that both your TV and Xbox One console are turned on.
• Check that your TV is set to the correct input signal (HDMI).
• Check that the HDMI cable connection to your console is secure.
• Check that the HDMI cable connection to your TV is secure.
• Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console.
  
• Power cycle your Xbox One: Press and hold the Xbox button
  for 10 seconds to turn off the console, and then turn it on again.
• Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV.
• Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV.
• Try connecting your console to a different TV.

Once all of that is confirmed, reset your display settings. Here's how:

1. If there's a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.
2. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.
   
3. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep.
   DO NOT LET GO until the second beep occurs.
   
   Note If you have an Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, you’ll need to press and hold the
   Xbox button and the Bind button instead, as your console does not have an
   Eject button.
   
   In either case, this will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, press the
   Xbox button to open the guide. Go to System >
   Settings > Display & sound > Video output, and then select the resolution you want from the Display dropdown.
   
4. From here, go back in your settings and select System > Console info > Reset console.
5. Make sure to select "Keep my games & apps" and have your account login information plus your WIFI password ready if you connect wireless because you will need to re-add the account's that were on the Xbox and re-connect to your network during the reset.

The xbox 360 e display isnt showing up on the tv, the 360's power button is just constantly flashing, and nothing is showing up, its just saying resolution mismatch change device's resolution..

I have everything set-up, the hdmi cables are in, one in the xbox, other in the tv, the powerbrick is working.. but nothing is showing up, just the same message.

I have my NextBox plugged into the Xbox One, but the TV listings are not showing. Is there something I'm not doing right? I went through the steps, but nothing shows up.

My xbox live tenure as gone it should show 7 it now shows nothing.

Headsets issues can only hear people through the tv need to reboot xbox one multipe times to resolve issues.

Thanks Mikeysoonerfan. I had seen that beta link and I tried the suggested things but nothing. The box is powered up but nothing showing on the tv. I've tried different HDMI leads in different ports to no avail. I haven't tried the box in a different
tv as this will be a chore to undertake. I'm guessing my Xbox One is kaput.
