Xbox is making a strange/annoying buzzing sound when installing games and updates

Just got this xbox yesterday, when I first turned it on and installed the system update and when I installed games, it is making this annoying 130ish bpm ticking sound. You can listen to the sound yourself here:
Is this normal? Is this something I should be concerned about? Should I return the console? Super excited about my new xbox I just want to make sure this isn't a faulty console. On a related note it took about 3 hours to install forza and 3 hours to install
titanfall. Is it normal for it to take THIS long?

How anyone bought the kinectless Xbox One recently having problems with a buzzing sound after installing the update. The sound hits after installing the update, and its only in low power mode.

 

Recently Serviced Xbox One making a new sound

So today I just got my Xbox One back from being serviced for making a grinding sound when a disc was inserted and not being able to read a disc. Well now it reads disks and doesnt male a grinding sound instead it makes a low buzzing/static like sound when
is disc is inserted. When the disk is played this sound continues until the game is on when the sound escalates to a full And fast buzzing/static sound. This is pretty annoying then as I just got it back and this sound doesnt make a game in playable it's just
incredibly loud and distracting. What should I do?

 

It shouldn't do that but a hard reset will fix it. Hold the power button on the front of the console until it turns off then unplug it from the wall outlet for 30 seconds then plug back in and power back on and it should be back to normal.

 

Thanks for the reply. I tried the hard reset and unplugged it for 30 seconds but it didn't help. I dunno I may just return it or ma wait a week and see if it gives me any trouble. I just want to make sure I didn't waste 400 dollars on a faulty piece of hardware

 

also...as for the games, it depends. If its a disc version of a game, disconnect yourself from your internet to install it faster. If it is a digital copy...then yeah, it can take some time. Hope MaximumExtreme's advice was able to help you.

 

Hey Smeagol, is it the console or the power supply making noise? Just out of curiosity try turning off the instant on feature in the settings and see if the noise continues.

 

I'd return that lemon asap.

 

Is it the SKU without the Kinect? People are having problem with this console, and the update causes it.

 

Hi everyone thank you so much for all your replies. Yes it is the $399 xbox without the connect. I ended up just swapping it for another one at bestbuy earlier this evening. I ain't bout that lemon life. If I have any problems with this one I'll let you
guys know.

 

I bet you will get the noise back once you start installing the day one update. Let me know.

 

Okay so with the new xbox, I didn't hear anything at first, but I put my ear right up to it and I could faintly hear a very similar sound going at the same tempo of 130bpm. This one is significantly quiter than the first one though
