Xbox is freezing after updating fresh new hard drive

My Xbox started freezing in game then started freezing as soon as the start menu loaded. I went to Xbox support and they said clear my cache, i did. They said take out the Hard drive and i did and it worked fine. But the system is worthless without it.
I was told it was the hard drive going bad. I got a new harddrive and put it in, worked relatively ok. UNTIL i update it. Then the same thing. I thought it was the update and now I have ANOTHER hard drive in it and its "Working" but freezes the instant i try
to play skyrim on the bethesda logo on Oblivion AND Skyrim. I can enter Wolf Among Us but its freezing and lagging like ****. I havent tried connecting the internet to this one yet. DLC installed from my Skyrim legendary disc fine, but it wont let me in the
game. I want some real help that doesnt involve "Get an Xbox One."

Broken hard drive! I have a few questions about transferring data.

First, the symptoms of the hard drive, and then I have a few questions

-The Xbox will start turning on, then right before or right after it loads up the dashboard, it freezes.

-When the hard drive is not in, no freezing. No game data, either, of course.

Now for questions.

If I transfer data from the corrupted hard drive to a new one, will it corrupt the new hard drive?

Can you even transfer data from corrupted hard drives?

Does it just transfer games, or does it also transfer my save data from said games?

 

Update: Minecraft seems to work fine
