    Xbox is charging my EXPIRED credit card


    I cancelled my xbox live years ago (sold my xbox). I checked my credit card statements and ive been charged the last 3 years even though my credit card expired in 2018. Somebody from microsoft said that they just push the charge through and turn on auto
    renew. How is this legal? im not getting anywhere with customer service.

    Did your Xbox Live expire?

    It could have charged your credit card, if you use one, and then there could have been insufficient funds. You will ahve to call Xbox support at 1-8004MYXBOX and give them a new credit card.

    This happened to me once when my expire and my old credit card was charged thanks to auto-renewal.

    The only other thing I can think of is maybe a wrong e-mail or password?

    also, my credit card on record is EXPIRED, and somehow, they continue to charge my NEW credit card with billing! how do they even know what my information is??

    Xbox Live Gold expired, won't renew

    Same problem with me but i canceled my auto renewal last year and xbox live turned it back on to charge me without permission. Now my account is suspended and i can't remove my credit card... good thing my credit card expired before they charged me 60$ that
    i cant afford at the moment.

    Auto-renewal is turned on any time you purchase a subscription through Xbox. It warns you of that when you make the purchase. If you don't turn off auto-renewal before it renews, the system will charge you.
