Xbox is being really slow

I recently got a new router. Now my dashboard is really slow and sometimes I can't connect to multiplayer. What can I do to make it faster/ get it fixed. I also get the error code 80072ee2 when I go to the dashboard

If your dashboard is slow to load and you haven't even signed onto xbox live that's not an issue with the XBL Service, it's actually your console, generally I think it has to do with your storage, not always, but I've seen like 4GB consoles that are just
about full, try deleting unnecessary saves, add-ons, & demos.

I have tried everything like clearing the system cache and re downloading my profile. And my Xbox is still slow, the start up menu is slow and opening the dashboard is slow. But the weird thing is I only encounter this when I try to sign in onto by main
profile account. Even the signing in process takes too long also i Have not tampered with anything on the console at all.

 

You're not the first, though the dashboard being slow is new. As to getting it fixed. Nothing I think it's a problem on xbox side, you could try to forward your ports

 

I'm kinda confused about forwarding the ports. For the ip, do I put my pc IP or my xbox IP? Also Im getting 50 down and 10 up on my pc. Why am I getting such slow download speeds on my xbox?

 

Portforward.com will be able to help you with the forwarding. To portforward you put the xbox ip address. I'm not much of a computer tech person so I have no idea but from what I have read distances, play a part in it

 

Also make sure the firmware is up to date, I remember reading someplace that Asus had bad performance for a while till a firmware update fixed it. Also if you can enable any sort of gaming features on the router
