Xbox is basically broke

I have hard reset my console about five times, and do so whenever i stop playing (figure turning it off would be better than sleep mode). I have kept it to up to date as well. Despite this, i cannot open the home menu, access the home tab brought up by pressing
the xbox logo on my controller, or access any games in a normal fashion. I found a minor work around, though, but it fails eventually. By placing a game in, i bypass the menu glitch. I tried dark souls 3 and dishonored 2. Dark Souls would not let me past the
home menu, saying "An error has occured, returning to home screen". Dishonored, however, let me load up a file and play, only it crashed without cause moments later and sent me back to it's tite screen. The xbox code associated with the crash took me to an
xbox 360 post, so i doubted its reliability. None the less, the solutions made no sense as it told me to dissconnect any connections to the xbox such as a knicect or a typing pad, only i have never connected such things to my xbox as i do not own them. What
do i do? I cannot access the factory reset in the normal fashion, is there another way?

Dashboard Basically Broken

So out of the blue yesterday might as well say ny xbox one broke. It started when the store froze up and i had to shut down my console. Then it wouldnt get off the xbox loading screen. So i hard shut down my console and unplugged it. So now when it does
load up i cant get anything to load up. Cant even get to settings to factory reset it. I just get the error message 0xd0000189 which i tried to look up but ut doesnt pop up on xbox support. Any suggestions?

Lets try some things:

1) PowerCycle

- Press and hold the white Xbox Button on the Console until it shuts off.

- Unplug the power cable for around 2 minutes.

- Replug and Restart your Console. Try again.

If the error still occurs try the next step:

2) Reset

- Power off your console

- Unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

- Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.

- Press and hold the BIND button (Xbox One: located on the left side of the console, Xbox One S: located on the front below the power button) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console.

- Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

- The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

- On the Troubleshooter select "Reset" and when asked select the option to "Keep your Games and Apps".

Make sure you know your Email / Password combination of your Account before you do the Reset.

3) Offline Update

- Perform the Offline Update as explainded here under "I need to Update my Console offline" Xbox One System Updates | Offline System Updates
