XBOX is a scam

My gamer tag was forced changed to something stupid and I was told I

have to pay another $10 to change it when I never was allowed to make a

free gamer tag when I got my XBOX last month(May 2018). Why should I

have to pay when XBOX changed it on their own. If certain gamer tags are

not allowed why not block them from the beginning instead of force

changing them to things people dont want then making them pay $10 to

change it. its a ripoff. Playstation sounds nice about now!

Gotta say, Xbox is probably the biggest scam I have ever fallen for. Constant Xbox Live outages. People can't sign in to their accounts on a regular basis. If you call Microsoft, they transfer you for three hours just to hang up. If you email support, they'll
say sorry but never actually help you. You spend a bunch of money on Live and literally hundreds of dollars on horrible, glitchy games just for the actually services to **** out once a week. So my question is, can you all PLEASE pull your heads out of your
asses and either give us all a refund or fix your **** you're overcharging everyone for?

he can't post.banned gamer tag names as any name that the pet feels violates the terms of use would also be in violation of the forum rules

If he took it up with pet and he was denied.it.most likely would.be in violation

 

You can try submitting a case review at
http://enforcement.xbox.com but if you want to change it you will have to pay. Too many people abused the free change from a forced gamertag change, so now you have to pay if you want to change it. That is per the code of conduct you agreed to when you
signed up.

The free gamertag change is only given if you were given a randomly generated tag when you created your account and are changing that for the first time. If you chose a gamertag when you created your account, that's why you were not given a free change before.

Playstation has similar rules except they don't allow name changes at all. So if your name violates their terms and conditions, your entire account is banned.

 

I went to that website and failed the questions lol. I had to answer 12 of them and missed one and have to wait 24 hours. Didnt know I had to stand trial for a video game, although its $10 to change i thats a lot just for a gamer tag since we have to pay
for the membership itself plus the games, so its a little annoying. thanks for the info though

Very true, however its the principle now since the name wasn't offensive. I've seen offensive names and mines wasn't one. people reported me cause they was getting whooped in Ghost Recon

 

The gamertag doesn't necessarily have to be offensive. It just has to violate the code of conduct. It doesn't matter why other people reported you. The enforcement team would have investigated it and they would have only issued a forced change if they determined
it to the violate the code.
