XBOX is a scam

My gamer tag was forced changed to something stupid and I was told I have to pay another $10 to change it when I never was allowed to make a free gamer tag when I got my XBOX last month(May 2018). Why should I have to pay when XBOX
changed it on their own. If certain gamer tags are not allowed why not block them from the beginning instead of force changing them to things people dont want then making them pay $10 to change it. its a ripoff. Playstation sounds nice about now!

Gotta say, Xbox is probably the biggest scam I have ever fallen for. Constant Xbox Live outages. People can't sign in to their accounts on a regular basis. If you call Microsoft, they transfer you for three hours just to hang up. If you email support, they'll
say sorry but never actually help you. You spend a bunch of money on Live and literally hundreds of dollars on horrible, glitchy games just for the actually services to **** out once a week. So my question is, can you all PLEASE pull your heads out of your
asses and either give us all a refund or fix your **** you're overcharging everyone for?

The gamertag doesn't necessarily have to be offensive. It just has to violate the code of conduct. It doesn't matter why other people reported you. The enforcement team would have investigated it and they would have only issued a forced change if they determined
it to the violate the code.

 

First If you got to choose your gamertag last month and one was not auto generated for you then you did use your one free time for a gamertag.

The free change is only if one was automatically generated for you when your account was originally setup.

As far as PS goes:

1. They have the same rules as MS

2. be glad that MS allows you to change your gamertag. with PS you are stuck with that gamer tag FOREVER and if it is a violation of their code of conduct guess what since you cant change the gamertag they perma ban your account.

As far as blocking them from the beginning there are some that do get blocked for instance All profanity if it is spelled correctly will be blocked but part of the code of conduct
that says:

Content that promotes, or sounds or looks like words, phrases, puns, images or imagery that refer to any prohibited content

MS can not go through the trillions of possibilities that could construe that. That is why they put it into a code of conduct that you agree to when signing up for the service.

Forced Gamertag Changes
When a forced Gamertag change is imposed, the system automatically assigns a new Gamertag to the affected account, much in the same way a system-generated Gamertag is provided when you first sign up for Xbox Live.

If a player is unhappy with the assigned Gamertag and wishes to change it, he or she may purchase a new Gamertag through the standard Gamertag change process. However, the Gamertag that received the forced change will remain unobtainable.

A forced Gamertag change may be issued if a Gamertag visually resembles, sound likes, represents, hints at, abbreviates, or otherwise insinuates any of the following:

• Profane words or phrases
• Topics or content of a sexual nature
• Hate speech
• Controversial religious topics
• Notorious people or organizations
• Sensitive current or historical events

And what if it didn't violate those rules? SMH all you did was copy paste rules.

No attempts to figure out the issue. He's right. PS4 been looking mighty tasty lately.

 

he can't post.banned gamer tag names as any name that the pet feels violates the terms of use would also be in violation of the forum rules

If he took it up with pet and he was denied.it.most likely would.be in violation

 

if you don't see what his current gamer tag violates the terms of.use.for.you need to learn some.ethics
