xbox involuntary name change

My name was changed involuntarily due to a user reporting my name as inappropriate. I know who this user is and have proof in my messages (which I can take a picture of), that he stated it was funny to report me. I believe he reported me because I had him
booted from our game on Destiny which we were in a Crota raid. He kept leaving his controller unattended and getting us all killed. I asked the fireteam leader to boot him as he came back to his controller and started moving around (he must have heard me).
I can understand you guys changing my name for a legitimate complaint, but this person lied to you which is now causing me to pay you money to change my name. I don't think it's fair that I have to pay money because of a lie. If you don't believe me, I can
take a picture from my phone and send it to an email.

Sorry, but you were lied to. Apparently some phone reps tell people to post in the forums when they don't know what else to say. These are community forums though and (other than the banning and suspension forums) nobody from Microsoft reads them, and nobody
here has any power to change your gamertag.

if you have used your bank details they could have changed it via that, so easy to do if they know your password

It doesn't matter why you were reported, the enforcement team investigates every complaint and would only give you a name change if your gamertag violated the code of conduct. If it didn't violate the code, they would not have given you a change. If you

If you first had an offline account and joined Xbox LIVE with that, you'll be assigned a random gamertag. You do get one free gamertag change but this must be used within 30 days of joining LIVE.

You get the random tag if the one you are using on LIVE is already taken by another user. Given that LIVE has been around for 10 years now, the chances of that are very likely indeed.

That doesn`t look like an automated tag to me,to many numbers.

Are you sure no one has accessed your account?

I would change your password just in case.

I didn't receive any message or warning... nothing at all. One of my friends asked why I wasn't on their list anymore. I logged in with my xbox glass app and noticed my name was changed. I then contacted support.

No really I didn't choose this name. I logged in and suddenly this was my new name. I did not choose it. I'm not sure why you're so stuck on this.
