Xbox internet authentication problem

Hi, so I tried to connect to my hotels Wi-Fi and usually I have to authenticate to connect properly but my problem now is that when I try to connect it skips asking me to authenticate and just connects which leaves me on a broken connection that doesn’t actually work please help!! If there is a way I can reset so I can authenticate again or something that would be great thanks

I have the exact same problem. Everything else in my house can connect to the internet flawlessly, only my Xbox needs “additional authentication”

Remote play requires an internet connection for authentication. The xbox must be able to reach the internet.

If you disconnect your console from the Internet you can play the game.

The problem is that parts of XBL were up so it tried to authenticate but couldn't complete it. If you go Offline with your console it won't get hung up during authentication.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have issue with the authentication process. We recommend to power cycle the device you are using. As for the router and authentication, you will need to get with the people that control this to restart the
router.
